alberta's top average winners

Unlike All American Teams where points are the goal, the Alberta All Star Team placements are based on a combined average of all three disciplines, (Singles, Doubles, and Handicap) throughout the course of a single ATA season. The competition is tough, and Alberta boasts some of the highest all around averages anywhere. Its an amazing accomplishment considering the limited and sometimes weather impacted seasons we have here in Alberta. The Alberta Teams are akin to the State teams in the United States, however each area has its own unique qualifications criteria.

The shooters must be Albertan residents, be a member in good standing of the APTA  for the current target tear, and meet minimum  requirements.

Calculations are based on composite average of ATA registered targets; a minimum of 1000 singles, 1000 handicap and 700 doubles, for the first and second teams, and minimum 700 singles, 700 handicap and 500 doubles for Lady 1 and 2, Sub Junior, Junior, Junior Gold,Sub-Vet, Vet and Senior Vet high category average.  As of 2014, 50% of the above minimums must be shot in Alberta.

Its no small feat in our province as we have some of  the best shooters in the country. Shooters attaining a place on the first team for the first time receive an APTA ring, and as a second team, repeat team member, or as a new high category winner, pins are awarded.

Make your mark on the provincial record books, and try for an All Star Team Placement! And congratulations to the 2015 Albertans who have made it here.
